North America to Europe Space Issues

Genesis is fortunate that it has built strong relationships with the major shipping lines and is working around the clock to ensure our customers’ shipments are delivered on time. However, there are major issues with getting space for FCL exports from the USA.

What is the reason for this space issue?

According to Bob O’Neill, Director of Business Development at Genesis, ‘the weak dollar has increased export demand significantly. This together with lack of containers in the right places and insufficient vessels has led to lack of capacity. We are now in peak season and it doesn’t get any busier than this. This is one of our key routes and it is important that we communicate any problems to our customers so there are no surprises.’
